Shop Safely At The Ink and Toner Shop
How can I tell if a web page is secure? There are two general indications of a secure web page: 1) Check the URL in the address bar of the web page
Normally, when browsing the web, the URL (web page address) begins with the letters "http://". If you look at the web address bar, at the top of this page, you will notice the URL begins with "http" which tells you this page is not secure. This page does not need to be secure as none of your personal details will be entered here. Now see a secure page for yourself on our website When you've finished shopping and are ready to make a purchase, press the checkout button. You will be taken to our secure checkout page to add your billing details. At this point, you will notice the change in the URL. It will now begin with "https", (note the "s") meaning that your details will be encrypted before being sent to the server. This is now a secure page. Over a secure connection the address displayed should begin with "https://" - note the "s" at the end. 2) Look for the Padlock
A padlock will be displayed simultaneously with the https:// at the top of the secure page, in the browser bar, giving added reassurance that you are making a safe transaction. Over a secure connection the Padlock will be displayed. If you still have questions after reading this page, call us on 01234 713 137 and we will try to help.
