The Brother Toner and Drum System - How it works

1. The Brother drum surface is positively charged whilst the drum rotates.
2. An electrostatic image is formed when a laser beam emits light onto the drum surface.
3. Charged toner particles are attracted to the image.
4. Paper passes the drum where a negative charge is applied which draws toner away from the drum surface and deposits it on the paper.
5. The image is then fixed by heat and pressure from the rollers.
6. The document is finally printed.
